River Drawings is a 20-minute video documenting a durational practice of swimming in the Fraser River, in both urban-industrial and rural areas close to the mouth. Through this long-term exploration the body becomes a conductor for understanding the experience of entering a foreign habitat, the force of the water and it's ever-shifting currents, and the effect of resource industries on the river's ecology. The works on paper respond to the experience of being submerged.
