Winter Garden, 2024
These drawings are informed by soil from my pollinator garden in the winter months, viewed under a microscope. Some drawings directly reference the earthly biome of entwined mineral, animal, and vegetal matter, sampled directly from various depths in the garden. Others imagine larger complex systems directly beneath and above the garden: weather patterns; alluvial sedimentation and geologic strata; mycelial-arboreal networks. This drawing series developed alongside Endless Body.
